Mission

The Wizards choose players based on personal character, commitment to academics and the team, as well as your basketball abilities. We expect that all members of the Wizards will be people of good character, students dedicated to doing their best, and individuals committed to being kind, respectful, coach-able, and law abiding citizens at all times.

The purpose and intent of the Wisconsin Wizards program is to develop the personal and individual skills of young players within the overall team structure. The efforts of the Wisconsin Wizards staff are focused on getting players from Wisconsin the opportunity to compete against the highest level of competition within Wisconsin, and the greater Midwest area.

Our  player's number one priority is to their grade school and respective high school programs.  The Wisconsin Wizards simply offers the additional opportunity to compete against the very best.  The Wisconsin Wizards Basketball believes that in order to become complete and disciplined players, our student/athletes shall demonstrate knowledge, skills and attitudes in being the very best that they can be both on and off the court.

Family Commitment

The cost to each player is $350 per season. Costs include gym rental, uniforms, guest speakers, special training, and seminars. Parents will also be responsible for  fundraising during the 2006 season. It is expected that all players and at least one family member participate/dedicate a half day (five hours) to the operation of at least one of the tournaments. Family involvement will make the operation of our tournaments more successful. Other volunteer opportunities include carpooling, chaperoning on overnight trips, team parent, score table (clock and book), and team book.
